What will you be doing?

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Windows Subject Matter Expert to support enterprise Windows infrastructure, operating system engineering, endpoint management, and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise across Windows Server administration, Windows gold image engineering, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager administration, operating system deployment, patch management, automation, and enterprise infrastructure delivery. This role partners closely with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, and Application teams to deliver secure, scalable, and highly automated Windows platform solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, administer, and support enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Build, maintain, and enhance Windows gold images for server and virtual desktop environments.
• Perform operating system deployments, upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Troubleshoot complex operating system, performance, and infrastructure issues.
• Manage Active Directory integrations, Group Policy administration, and Windows security configurations.
• Administer and maintain Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager environments.
• Manage operating system deployments, software distribution, patch management, compliance reporting, and endpoint lifecycle management.
• Develop and maintain task sequences, collections, deployment packages, and configuration baselines.
• Support large scale Windows server and workstation deployments.
• Develop automation solutions using PowerShell and related scripting technologies.
• Automate server provisioning, patching, software deployment, compliance reporting, and operational processes.
• Build reusable automation frameworks that improve operational efficiency and consistency.
• Integrate automation capabilities with enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms.
• Lead and participate in Windows Server upgrades, migrations, modernization initiatives, virtual desktop deployments, data center transformation efforts, cloud migration projects, and security remediation programs.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural recommendations for enterprise Windows infrastructure projects.
• Implement and maintain Windows security hardening standards.
• Support vulnerability remediation and audit readiness initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to support risk reduction initiatives.
• Develop operational procedures, architecture documentation, engineering standards, knowledge articles, and deployment runbooks.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation and process optimization.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Seven or more years of enterprise Windows administration experience.
• Strong experience supporting Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments.
• Extensive experience managing Windows gold images.
• Hands on experience administering Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting experience.
• Experience with enterprise operating system deployment and patch management.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Experience supporting large scale server and endpoint infrastructure environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred:

• Experience supporting Windows workloads in Amazon Web Services environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure virtual machines.
• Knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Experience with Azure Automation, Azure Arc, or Microsoft Intune.
• Familiarity with VMware environments and virtual desktop solutions.
• Understanding of DevOps and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices.
• Microsoft certifications are preferred.

Pay Details:

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $105,000 to $130,000 annually. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions; that is not included in base pay.
