Position Summary

The Preschool Director will provide overall leadership for the center, overseeing operations, licensing compliance, enrollment growth, staff development, parent engagement, and school performance. This role requires a hands-on leader who can successfully launch and grow a new center.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily school operations and staff management.
• Ensure compliance with all Illinois DCFS licensing requirements.
• Recruit, train, coach, and retain teachers and staff.
• Drive enrollment growth and conduct tours for prospective families.
• Participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives.
• Maintain high educational and operational standards.
• Build strong relationships with families and community partners.
• Manage records, reporting, scheduling, and center administration.

Required Qualifications

• Must meet Illinois DCFS Director qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Early Childhood Education.
• Previous leadership experience in a preschool, daycare, or childcare center.
• Strong knowledge of licensing, compliance, and school operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Montessori experience or certification.
• Experience opening a new school or childcare center.
• Enrollment management and marketing experience.
• Strong community engagement background.
